You may not realize it, but the future is nearer than you think. Each year, forward-thinking designers create clothing and accessories that are influenced by trends that will dominate the year ahead. For example, although it may not be officially introduced until January of 2020, the look that topped trends for 2019 will likely become the 2022 fashion season’s hottest look.

It’s no secret that fashion, just like art, evolves over time. Some things never go out of style, while others completely change. In 2022, technology will continue to influence fashion, causing designers to come up with new styles for clothing, jewelry, and shoes. Perhaps the coolest thing about 2022 fashion is how easy it is to get your hands on items. Soon you’ll be able to order clothing, jewelry, and shoes from the comfort of your home and have them delivered to your front door, just like some brands allow you to do now.

Sweats 2.0

Sweats like pajamas? Yes, 2022’s fashion trend will be something that you can wear around the house. Not your everyday pajama bottoms, but loungewear that easily transitions from bed to couch. Sweats 2.0 will see the front of leggings transformed from plain to patterned with themes like sports, unicorns, star constellations, florals, and so much more.

Voluminous silhouettes

Lingerie designers like Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tory Burch all showed veil-like, voluminous silhouettes on the runways of New York Fashion Week in October. These pieces, which were originally created to flatter the wearer’s décolletage, were designed to be layered and accessorized, emphasizing the general trend of “athleisure” fashion. The veil-like styles were paired with sleek jackets, metallics, and velvet, all designed to highlight the beauty of the wearer’s curves.

Platform shoes

Platform shoes have been a staple of the fashion scene for years, but 2019 is the year they take center stage. Platforms have been making a comeback on the runways, and this is expected to carry over to the high street in 2022. Platform shoes have come back as a result of shorter women’s heels, which became popular in the early 1990s. By 2012, most women’s heels were shorter than four inches, and a 5-inch heel was the height of fashion.

Low-rise pants

For 2020, the fashion trend is high-waisted pants. For 2021, the fashion trend is low-rise pants. For 2022, the fashion trend will be low-rise pants. Low-rise pants were all the rage in 2020, and it’s likely that this trend will continue into the new year. Low rise pants are also known as low-rise pants and look very similar to the 2020 fashion trend of high-waisted pants. Both trends are great for wearing boots and work well when paired with low-rise sweaters and tops.

The color purples

The 2022 fashion trend will be the color purple, according to predictions. The exact color itself is still being debated, but purple is the general color trend. Pantone says the color will be cooler and more lavender in tone, while Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, a Pantone color expert, suggests it will be “brighter and more violet toned.” Either way, no matter which shade you choose, the color purple will be everywhere in 2022.

The 2022 fashion trend is important to the fashion community because it’s the origin of a new fashion era. 2022 trend will be known as the ‘Blizzard’ fashion trend.
